UNA 213: Unangan Folklore

Students will be introduced to the folklore discipline through the exploration and review of Unangan Folklore, particularly focusing on St. Paul Island examples. The course will discuss and investigate the importance of oral tradition, ceremony, folk craft, and folk belief. Students will collect folklore examples from their own folk groups.
