In the case of reports of incidents involving serious threat to individual or community, sexual misconduct, distribution of controlled or illegal substances, contribution to the delinquency of a minor, destruction of property, lewd conduct, violence or discrimination, the Dean or department director may remove the student from Iḷisaġvik Campus housing and/or an academic program immediately, pending completion of the due process procedure outlined above. Reports to law enforcement authorities for investigation shall be made as necessary and appropriate. In all other cases, the disciplinary process should follow procedures outlined in the “Due Process Hearing Procedures” section of this handbook.
