CHEM 105: General Chemistry I

This course (including laboratory) is an introduction to general chemistry and explores topics to a much greater depth than preparatory courses. Topics include: measurement, energy and matter, periodic trends, chemical composition, chemical reactions, solutions, bond theory, gases, thermodynamics, and problem-solving (applied mathematics). This meets the general education requirements for a 4-credt natural science course with laboratory.

Prerequisites

Completion of MATH 105 and placement into ENGL 111
